T.R.I.P. Report

 

The purpose of the T.R.I.P. Report (Traffic Restrictions in Progress) is to advise citizens of conditions affecting traffic flow within the City.

The following information consists of general major construction zones that are known at this time, but may not be all inclusive. This update is in effect for the week of September 6, 2010.
  

Low Flow Channel

The Low Flow Channel on Via Montezuma between Diaz Road and Del Rio is currently open.


Old Town Infrastructure Projects - Traffic Impacts:
Ongoing closures associated with these projects are as follows:

Main Street Closure - Mid Block between Old Town Front Street and Mercedes Street (Eastern Half):  This segment of Main Street will be closed to vehicles until the Civic Center is completed in fall of 2010.  The Town Square is open.  Motorists should utilize Fourth Street (north) and Third Street (south) for access around this closure.

The parking structure is now open to the public and can be accessed at Third Street and Second Street.  Mercedes is closed to thru traffic starting at 150 feet south of Fourth Sreet to the parking structure.


CITYWIDE CONCRETE REPAIRS:

Citywide Concrete Repairs for FY 09-10 began on Monday, August 2nd.  The main streets to be repaired are:

Diaz Road

Jefferson Avenue

Margarita Road

Meadows Parkway at Pauba Road

Moraga Road

Nicolas Road

Rancho California Road

Rancho Vista Road

Solana Way

Vail Ranch Parkway

Via Rio Temecula

Ynez Road

Winchester Road west of Jefferson Avenue

 

Other residential streets will also be affected.  The project will be ongoing thru September 20th, 2010.

 


RESTRICTED LANES 


Jedediah Smith / Cabrillo Avenue:  Paving is complete.  Striping and final clean-up may result in minor traffic delays.


Pujol Street
Construction is complete at Vineyards at Temecula Apartments on Pujol Street.  Paving of Pujol Street has been rescheduled to a future date.  


Warehouse at Third Street:  Occupancy has been released, but additional improvements and minor grading is still ongoing.  Traffic and pedestrian controls will be implemented as needed during this phase of construction.  There is no parking allowed on 3rd Street west of Old Town Front Street.   


Winchester Median ImprovementsBeginning the evening of March 14th, nighttime work began from 9 PM to 5 AM Sunday thru Thursday until the completion of the project.  The construction will be between Ynez and the northern city limits.  Expect lane closures along the medians.
